Wendy Emes
Wendy is a local artist specialising in sculpture and watercolours. Her inspiration comes from beautiful seaside locations where she spends many a happy hour beach combing. During one such event;
“it dawned on me that 'rubbish is not rubbish' and with thought
and creativity can be transformed into something unique and
wonderful”.
Wendy avidly collects discarded items for her artwork from the beaches in Wales and everyday objects that would otherwise end up in landfill.
“Careful consideration is given to everything I am throwing
away to see how it could be repurposed to become a part
of one of my pieces. My hope is that my artwork encourages
people to give more consideration to recycling and the environment.”
