Neil Tregear

Neil trained San Francisco and London before completing an apprenticeship in porcelain throwing in Kyoto, Japan. By the mid-1980s, Neil had established a studio in Oxfordshire and he proceeded to lecture in ceramics in Oxford. In 2004, the Tregear Pottery workshop was moved to the south coast of the Isle of Wight where the beauty of the ever-changing coastline and sea provides inspiration for Neil’s work.

An awareness of the delicacy of porcelain has evidently translated through to Neil's sensitive approach to white stoneware. Each piece of Tregear pottery is handmade in fine stoneware clay and hand decorated in designs inspired by the beautiful surrounding landscape.
