Karen Robinson
Karen is a South Cambridgeshire based artist who began painting in lockdown. She has had to give up many things she loves since she was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. She can’t hold a paintbrush but she has found new joy and self expression in the simple act of pouring, tipping, spinning and swinging paint.
She finds inspiration in the paint itself. The real artist is the paint, conjuring up all manner of characters, scenery, juxtapositions, thoughts and ideas. No two paintings are ever the same. Paint has a life of its own, running its own course, inviting interest and your imagination. Her role is a facilitator, preparing and advising the paint an appropriate course of action.
