Jason Breach
Jason was born in Devon where he now lives. Jason began woodturning at the age of twelve. Three years later he attended a woodturning course at Parnham House in Dorset; this week-long course introduced him to the simple art of the turned wooden box.
At college, Jason studied Furniture Design and Management, obtaining a BA (Hons). He then worked making bespoke kitchens and furniture allowing him to develop and hone his skills.
As much as he enjoys making furniture, his real enjoyment and enthusiasm have always been in working upon the lathe. His flair for making and developing ideas for turned wooden boxes is his main interest. This curiosity has fuelled the development of his creative skills and has led Jason to create a number of boxes which have won competitions within the UK, including First prize in the Worshipful Company of Turners competition 2010. The “Orbital Arc box" series has been his main design focus.
When working with wood Jason finds that keeping the natural colour and grain pattern is very important and is always part of his creative design.
He has demonstrated throughout the UK, Austria, Australia and the USA.
Primavera has a collection of around 20 pieces by Jason.
