James Carcass

For the last 18 years James has been exploring the natural fluidity of molten glass. He has been obsessed with the unique and complex relationship between glass and light. Through a unique language of metallic patinas and asymmetric forms, James has tried to reveal the chameleon nature of the glass object.

All of the glass is blown and is signed on the base. As the glass is entirely hand worked, each piece is unique and may have slight variations in size and shape.
