Gill Galloway-Whitehead

Gill Galloway-Whitehead has experimented her way to a truly unique process of jewellery making which involves working with fine wire of different densities to determine the surface of her work. The technique that Gill has developed allows for both spontaneity of approach and control of technique. Gill mixes her own gold alloys in order to use a range of shades and hues not otherwise available.

Gill’s work is highly acclaimed. It has won awards and is held in prestigious permanent collections. In addition to Primavera’s holding of Gill’s work, her pieces can also be seen at: the Museo degli Argenti – Putti Palace, Florence; Goldsmith’s Council Permanent Modern collection; and at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.
