Ink painting of the Grasshopper Clock at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, by Georgina Burton. The renowned sculptural Corpus Clock reflects King's College in its glass casing and is surrounded in exquisite stone architecture. The clock is merely accurate only once every five minutes. In between the pendulum may seem to catch or stop entirely, the lights may lag or race head. According to its creator - John C. Taylor - this erratic motion reflects life’s irregularity.
Painted in a variety of inks - predominately walnut ink, coliro metallic watercolours & micron pen. Crafted on Daler & Rowney paper, finished with matching mount.
